The answers, without the hedging.
What it costs, how Wings are checked, and what happens if something gets cancelled.
Pricing & credits
What is Wingbie?
A marketplace where you ask a real wingman or wingwoman — a vetted human coach, called a Wing — for help with a specific situation. Sessions happen over video, in person, or in writing.
How much does a Wing cost?
Every Wing sets their own rate, so there's no single price — a fifteen-minute profile read and a six-hour event are different jobs. You always see the exact total before you send a request, and the total you pay is the price shown.
Joining, browsing and asking a one-off question are free.
Do I need a subscription?
No. You can book any Wing without one. Wingbie Plus is optional at $10.99 a month and adds credits back and member pricing.
What are Wing Credits?
An account balance held in money, where a dollar of credit is a dollar. Credits are issued when a session is cancelled, earned as a rewards benefit on eligible plans, and applied automatically to future bookings.
They expire 12 months after they're issued.
What happens if a session is cancelled?
Cancel 12 or more hours before the start and you get the full amount as Wing Credit. Under 12 hours it's 50%.
If your Wing cancels or doesn't show, you get the full amount back. If you don't show, it's 50%.
Refunds are issued as Wing Credit rather than cash — a dollar of credit is a dollar, it applies automatically to your next booking, and it expires 12 months after it's issued.
Safety & verification
How are Wings verified?
Every Wing account is approved before it becomes visible or can accept bookings, and Wings pass identity verification. Any Wing offering in-person sessions also passes background screening through a third-party provider.
Is it safe to meet a Wing in person?
In-person Wings pass an ID check and background screening. Before you meet, you and the Wing both confirm a public place, an emergency contact, and that you're comfortable going ahead.
Your location is shown as a city — never an address.
Can anyone message me?
No. There's no cold messaging in either direction. Chat opens only once a booking request exists, so nobody contacts you out of the blue.
Can reviews be faked or deleted?
A review can only be left by someone who paid for a completed session. A Wing may reply to a review, but can never delete one.
Do I have to show my face or use my real name?
Asking for help with your dating life is private, and the product is built for that. Your location shows as a city, nobody can message you first, and you choose how much to share with a Wing before a session.
Do I have to be over 18?
Yes. You must be 18 or older to use Wingbie, and you confirm that when you sign up.
How a session works
What formats can a session take?
Video, in person, or in writing — from about ten minutes up to a full day. Not every Wing offers every format; each profile says which.
Can a Wing help me during a date?
Yes, if you book them for the evening. You step away, send what just happened, and get one usable line back. More on how that works.
Do I get anything to keep afterwards?
Yes — the written recap stays in your account. If you book the same Wing again they already know your story, so you skip the backstory.
Should I ask a wingman or a wingwoman?
Whichever perspective you want on the situation. Most people who choose deliberately are after a specific read — ask a wingwoman for a female one, ask a wingman for a male one.
Is a Wing the same as a dating coach?
They overlap. A Wing usually works on a specific situation now; a coach works on the pattern over months. Many Wings do both — here's how to tell which you need.
How do I become a Wing?
You apply, get verified, and set your own rates, hours and terms. Wings are independent contractors and decide which requests to accept. Earnings are paid out net of Wingbie's service fee, which varies by plan. Start here.
Is there an app?
Wingbie runs in the browser today at app.wingbie.com. iPhone and Android apps are on the way.
