Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Wingbie. You confirm this when you sign up.

The service

Wingbie is a two-sided marketplace that connects members (“Members”) with independent dating & relationship coaches (“Wings” — a Wingman or Wingwoman) for remote video, in-person, and asynchronous sessions. The Service is available on the web and through our iOS and Android apps, which provide substantially the same features. Wings are independent contractors — Wingbie facilitates discovery, booking, payments, and communication, but is not a party to the coaching relationship, does not employ Wings, and does not guarantee any particular outcome.

Accounts & roles

Each account is registered as one of two roles: a Member (a client seeking coaching) or a Wing (a coach offering it). Your role is selected at sign-up and is fixed for the life of the account; a single person may not use one account for both roles. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.

Wing accounts require approval before they become discoverable or can accept bookings. As part of onboarding and to maintain trust and safety, Wings are subject to identity verification and, for in-person offerings, background screening through third-party providers. We may decline, suspend, or remove an account that does not meet our eligibility, verification, or conduct requirements.

Bookings, payments, taxes & refunds

Payment is taken when you book. The price shown for each session is in the currency indicated at checkout, and the total you pay is the price shown. Any applicable sales taxes (such as GST/HST) will be calculated and shown before you confirm payment; where no such taxes are shown, none are charged.

Funds are held securely and released to the Wing after the session. If a session is cancelled or doesn’t happen, any refund is issued as Wing Credit (account credit usable toward future bookings) rather than a cash refund, as follows:

• You cancel 12+ hours before the start: full credit. Under 12 hours: 50% credit.
• The Wing cancels or doesn’t show: full credit.
• You don’t show: 50% credit.

Account credit is automatically applied to future bookings and expires 12 months after it is issued. This refund policy is part of your purchase contract; nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

Subscriptions

Wingbie offers optional paid subscriptions — for example, a membership plan for Members and a professional plan for Wings — that unlock additional benefits such as reduced service fees, credit rewards, greater visibility, and higher usage limits. Plans bill on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) at the price shown at the time of purchase and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and, except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.

Where a subscription is purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing, renewals, and cancellations are handled by that store under its own terms, and you may need to manage the subscription through your store account.

Wing Credits

Wing Credits are a stored account balance denominated in money that can be applied toward bookings. Credits may be issued as refunds (see above), earned as a rewards benefit on eligible plans, or otherwise granted by us. Wing Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law, and may expire as disclosed at the time they are issued. We may adjust or reverse credits issued in error or in connection with fraud or abuse.

Promotion & boosts (Wings)

Wings may purchase optional, one-time promotional “boosts” that increase the visibility of their profile in discovery for a set period. Boosts affect placement only; they do not guarantee bookings, earnings, or any specific result, and are non-refundable once active.

For Wings (coaches)

Wings are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of Wingbie. Wings set their own prices, availability, and offerings, must provide accurate information, and are solely responsible for their own income and sales/GST-HST taxes and for conducting sessions professionally, safely, and lawfully.

Earnings are paid out net of Wingbie’s service fee (which varies by plan) through our payments partner’s connected-account system; you must complete that partner’s onboarding and identity/tax verification to receive payouts. Any private preparation notes a Wing keeps about a Member are confidential to the Wing, must be used only to deliver coaching, and must be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Sessions, recordings & consent

Sessions are offered as remote video (hosted in-app), in-person meetings, urgent short calls, and asynchronous reviews. Sessions are not recorded by default. A session is only recorded when a participant turns recording on and consent is given in the call. Recording your own audio/video requires your consent; a combined recording that captures both participants requires both people to opt in first. Recordings are private to the session’s participants, are treated as sensitive information, and auto-expire after 90 days. Recording another person without the required consent is prohibited and may be unlawful.

In-person sessions & safety

In-person sessions carry real-world risks. For your safety, in-person bookings include a pre-session checklist (such as meeting in a public place and notifying an emergency contact) that both parties confirm. You are responsible for your own conduct and safety offline. Wingbie facilitates introductions and screening but does not supervise in-person meetings and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any Member or Wing during them. If you ever feel unsafe, leave and contact local emergency services.

Matchmaker & introductions

Members may opt in to be introduced to another Member by a Wing. Introductions are shared only when both people have opted in. Participation is voluntary, and Wingbie does not guarantee compatibility or any outcome from an introduction.

Your content & reviews

You retain ownership of the content you provide — including profile details, your dating journey and private journal, messages, and reviews. You grant Wingbie a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service. Reviews must reflect a genuine, completed session and your honest experience; fake, incentivized, or retaliatory reviews are prohibited. You are responsible for the content you submit and must have the right to share it.

Acceptable use

Be respectful. The following are prohibited and may result in suspension or removal: harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual solicitation, and illegal activity; taking or soliciting payment or contact off-platform to avoid fees or safeguards; cold-messaging people you have not booked; misrepresenting your identity or qualifications; scraping, reverse-engineering, or overloading the Service; and using the Service to build a competing product. Report concerns from the relevant session or profile.

Mobile applications

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use our iOS and Android apps for their intended purpose, subject to these terms and to the applicable app store’s terms. The apps may request device permissions — such as camera and microphone (for video sessions), notifications, and photo access (for uploads) — which you can manage in your device settings; declining a permission may limit related features. We may release updates, and continued use may require installing them. Where you obtained an app from a store, that store is not responsible for the app or for support.

Disclaimer & liability

Wingbie is provided “as is.” Coaching is not therapy, medical, legal, or financial advice, and is not a substitute for professional help. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Wingbie is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, or for the conduct of any Member or Wing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the Service and its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as payment, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in-app and the version you accepted is recorded. Questions? Email support@wingbie.com. For privacy matters, see our Privacy Policy.
